Fertility Check up

Our fertility check up aims to offer you a comprehensive picture of your fertility.

Here at Complete Fertility Centre we understand that you may be wondering about your fertility health. It may be that you’re in a relationship and are thinking about trying to conceive in the future or you’re actively trying now, or you may be single and have concerns about your fertility.

Whatever your circumstances it is worthwhile monitoring your fertility levels to support your family planning. Our fertility check up can be done individually or as a couple to evaluate your fertility.

Fertility check up for women

There are just two simple stages to our comprehensive women's fertility check up:

  • We will invite you to your first appointment for an Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) blood test. This is often referred to as an ovarian reserve test as it gauges the number of healthy eggs a woman has left, giving an indication of her fertility potential.
  • Once we have the blood test results we will arrange a second appointment for an ultrasound scan to count the growing follicles in the ovaries, assess the ovarian anatomy and health, and check that there are no visible abnormalities in the uterus. All the information gained from the blood test and scan will be evaluated. Your Consultant will explain the results with you and any implications during this visit.

Fertility check up for men

There are just two simple stages to our comprehensive men's fertility check up:

  • We will invite you for a semen analysis test to measure the quantity and quality of your sperm.
  • The semen analysis test results will be evaluated, explained and any implications discussed by a Consultant.

Fertility check up for couples

There are just two simple stages to our comprehensive fertility check up for a couple:

  • We will invite you both to your first appointment for an Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) blood test and semen analysis test. The AMH is often referred to as an ovarian reserve test as it gauges the number of healthy eggs a woman has left, giving an indication of her fertility potential. The semen analysis measures the quantity and quality of your sperm.
  • Once we have the blood and semen analysis test results we will arrange a second appointment for an ultrasound scan to count the growing follicles in the ovaries, assess the ovarian anatomy and health, and check that there are no visible abnormalities in the uterus. All the information gained from the blood and semen analysis tests and scan will be evaluated. Your Consultant will explain the results with you and any implications during this visit.
