HFEA consent forms changes
On the 19th February 2024 important changes to the HFEA consent forms will be introduced.
These relate to consent in the event that a patient loses mental capacity and will allow patients to consent to their eggs, sperm or embryos being stored but not used were they to become mentally incapacitated.
As a result of these changes, patients may be re-issued consent forms and asked to complete the most up-to-date version before their treatment.
