Complete Fertility Launches New Surrogacy Programme to Help More Families Begin Their Journey

In the summer, Complete Fertility launched a new comprehensive surrogacy programme. The expert team has carefully designed a patient pathway to support both intended parents and surrogates through every step of the surrogacy journey with expert medical care, guidance, and legal support.

Surrogacy is a form of assisted reproductive treatment (ART) in which a woman, the surrogate, carries a pregnancy on behalf of the intended parent(s). Complete Fertility offers host (gestational) surrogacy, where the surrogate has no genetic connection to the child. Embryos are created via IVF using the gametes of the intended parent(s) and/or a donor, then transferred to the surrogate following a quarantine period. Each year in the UK, an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 children are born through surrogacy Julie Hedges, Donor and Surrogacy Programme lead for Complete Fertility explains:

“We are proud to offer this trusted and expertly guided route to parenthood for our patients. Surrogacy is a complex process, but with our experienced donor team and nearly two decades of clinical excellence, it is a natural progression in our care pathway. Our IVF success rates in 2025 are the highest since the clinic opened over 18 years ago, which is a testament to our continued leadership in fertility care. We are looking forward to welcoming our first intended parents and surrogates from the south with the same care and expertise we’re known for.”

Supporting Diverse Family Pathways

The surrogacy programme at Complete Fertility is open to a wide range of individuals and couples, including those facing medical infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, or members of the LGBTQ+ community. At least one intended parent must have a genetic link to the child for legal parenthood to be granted in the UK.

Start Your Surrogacy Journey Today

The first step is a consultation with a Complete Fertility consultant. Intended parents do not need a surrogate in place to begin. Embryos can be created and stored until a suitable match is found.
