Mothering Sunday and Complete Fertility
Mothering Sunday, a day that brings joy to many families, can be a challenging milestone for those on the fertility journey. If you have undergone fertility treatment, we know this day can be a mixed bag of emotions – from the thrill of celebrating as a parent for the first time to the heartache and longing for those still on their fertility journey.

The Emotional Rollercoaster:

The first Mothering Sunday after a birth, and as a family, can be filled with excitement and joy. However, it's crucial to recognise that it can also be a trigger for negative emotions, making it one of the toughest days of the year for those still navigating the challenges of infertility. The marketing onslaught, starting earlier each year, can intensify feelings of isolation and despair, making it challenging to escape when emotions are already running high.

Support Every Step of the Way:

At Complete Fertility, we understand the unique struggles that individuals and couples face during their fertility journey. Our commitment to providing holistic support means that we stand by our patients at every step, offering a safe space to navigate the complex emotions that Mothering Sunday may bring. Our counselling services are designed to ensure that no one feels alone on their fertility journey, providing an outlet to talk, express, and, hopefully, find healing during this emotionally charged period.

Grief, Loss, and Despair:

Infertility is not just a medical condition; it can leave individuals with a profound sense of grief, loss, and despair. Acknowledging these emotions is crucial in creating a supportive environment. To all our patients, we say – your feelings are valid, and we are here to help you navigate through them.

Denise Durham, Senior Fertility Counsellor at Complete Fertility explains:

“You are never alone because we are with you every step of the way and beyond. We understand the grief and even loss for those who have not had a successful outcome. Mothering Sunday can be extremely tough so please don’t suffer alone. Reach out, get in touch, and come and talk to us

At Complete Fertility, unlike other clinics, our counselling team is available to our patients for as long as they need them. To find out more please email: Patientsupport@completefertility.co.uk
