Scratching of the endometrial lining of the womb may help embryos to implant.
Endometrial scratch is a procedure we may offer you as part of your treatment if you have had failed IVF cycles yet good quality embryos or if you are using donor eggs to have a family.
It is a simple outpatient procedure which may help embryos to implant. It involves gently “scratching” the endometrial lining of the womb before your IVF cycle starts.
This scratching of the lining is thought to change how the endometrial lining grows back following the procedure, making it more receptive to embryo transplantation.
