Here at Complete Fertility we have reduced our waiting times for people requiring donor eggs. Now our patients can receive IVF treatment with donor eggs within 3 to 6 months of their initial consultation with one of our fertility doctors.

Many people who need donor eggs to have a baby assume that donor eggs simply aren’t available in the UK. It is also widely believed that if a UK clinic does have donor eggs then they either are coming from abroad or that there is a long waiting list for them.

So we are delighted to let prospective patients know that they will be able to receive donor egg treatment at Complete Fertility Centre within just a few months. This is thanks to the success of our egg-sharing and altruistic egg donor programme.

All of our donor eggs are from women who have passed the strict HFEA health and medical screening regulations to become egg donors, they are all from the UK and they are all identifiable to any children you may have in future. We only accept women as donors who are aged 18 to 35, who are non-smokers and have a BMI within the normal range.

Our Donor Coordinator will help you find a donor that matches your choices based on health, physical traits, education, profession and hobbies. We invite all of our donors to write a pen portrait that includes a description about them and a goodwill message intended for any child or children born as a result of their donation. This all-important information enables parents of a donor-conceived child to talk to them about their origins as they grow up. A donor’s pen portrait is available for you to read when you are choosing your donor.

Once an egg donor has been chosen, treatment cycles are carefully timed so that the donor’s eggs are ready when the recipient is.

Our egg donation programme can help women in situations such as those suffering premature menopause, whose eggs will not fertilise, whose ovaries have been removed, women with a genetic disorder that may be passed on or, older women.

All our patients using donor eggs for their fertility treatment will be required to see our Counsellor, to fully explore the implications, before making any final decisions. We include up to six sessions of counselling in all our egg recipient packages.
